Agony and Ecstasy - North Carolina Outdoors Landscape Appalachian Trail Spring Flowers Sunset
Incredible sunset over blooming rhododendron flowers along the Appalachian Trail at Carvers Gap last summer during our annual Spring in the Highlands workshops. As we came down through the woods I noticed some warm orange light peaking through the trees on the clouds above us. Just goes to show it's never over until it's over, and sometimes you never know what you'll see out here in the Appalachian Mountains. Hope y'all enjoy the view!
